The Lagos State Office of the State Auditor-General has organised a three-day leadership workshop for its management staff aimed at strengthening leadership capacity, building resilience and improving communication skills in the public service.
The workshop, titled “Leading with Agility and Resilience, Including Effective Presentation,” was held from July 7 to 9, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Olowopopo Way, Ikeja.
Designed to equip senior officials with the skills needed to navigate the evolving demands of public sector administration, the training focused on agile leadership, resilience, strategic decision-making and effective presentation techniques.
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Coordinating Director, the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Akinleye Adebola, stressed that effective leadership requires adaptability, resilience, innovation and a commitment to continuous learning.
She urged participants to apply the knowledge and practical insights gained during the workshop to strengthen teamwork, improve decision-making and enhance service delivery in line with the Office’s statutory responsibilities.
In her welcome address, Adebola reaffirmed the management’s commitment to continuous professional development, noting that investing in leadership and human capital remains critical to improving organisational performance and sustaining excellence in public sector auditing.
The workshop featured interactive sessions, practical presentations and leadership exercises designed to improve participants’ management capabilities, communication skills and overall productivity.
She reiterated that the Office of the State Auditor-General remains committed to building a competent, innovative and results-driven workforce through continuous training and capacity-building initiatives that promote efficiency, transparency and accountability in public service.
