The Lagos State Government has expressed its readiness to support the team behind the forthcoming premiere of Black Market, scheduled to hold at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island, on September 26, 2026.
The premiere is expected to attract about 50,000 people, with organisers aiming to set a Guinness World Records record for the largest audience at a movie screening.
The state government disclosed this following a courtesy visit by the film’s team to the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, on August 27.
The delegation, led by Producer Nora Awolowo, Co-Producer/Executive Producer Omowunmi Dada and Event Producer Damilola Osikoya, sought the ministry’s partnership and support for the landmark event.
