Access to healthcare through insurance is receiving a major boost in Lagos State, as 63 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs)—including Lagos Television (LTV)—have been officially presented with Certificates of Compliance for implementing the state’s Social Health Insurance Scheme.
The certificates were presented by the Lagos State Head of Service, Olabode Agoro, signaling significant progress in the state’s drive to deepen health coverage and improve healthcare delivery for public servants and residents.
Speaking during the presentation, Agoro stated that the certificates recognize institutions that have fulfilled all mandatory conditions, while reinforcing the role of government bodies in driving the state’s health insurance mandate.
Addressing agencies yet to complete their clearance, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, urged them to resolve outstanding obligations promptly. She assured affected MDAs of the agency’s full technical support to help them meet the required standard.
With the compliance certificates now issued, attention shifts to execution, ensuring the policy translates into seamless healthcare access across the state.
