Lagos State and Liberia have taken a significant step towards strengthening economic cooperation with the inaugural Liberia–Nigeria Trade and Investment Forum 2026 held in Lagos.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu called for deeper trade and investment partnerships between both countries, describing Lagos as West Africa’s natural commercial and investment hub.
The governor said the forum provides a strategic platform to expand bilateral trade, attract investments and foster collaboration across key sectors of the economy. He reaffirmed Lagos State’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses and promoting regional economic integration.
The event is expected to strengthen commercial relations between Nigeria and Liberia while opening new opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs and businesses from both countries.
