The Lagos State Government has commenced the recruitment of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to fill vacancies across its 29 secondary healthcare facilities.
The recruitment exercise, approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is aimed at strengthening healthcare service delivery, addressing workforce shortages and mitigating the impact of brain drain in the state’s health sector.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC) said the exercise aligns with the administration’s THEMES Agenda, which prioritises improved access to quality healthcare for residents.
Available positions include consultants in various specialties, senior registrars, medical officers, dental officers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, medical laboratory scientists, optometrists, radiographers, nursing officers, clinical psychologists and health assistants.
The commission stated that applications will be accepted online only through its official recruitment portal, with the application window opening on July 13, 2026, and closing on July 24, 2026.
It added that only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer-based test (CBT) and interview.
The commission also warned prospective applicants against paying any individual or organisation for the recruitment process, stressing that the exercise is completely free.
