The Lagos State Scholarship Board has announced that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted applicants under the 2025/2026 Scholarship Awards will hold soon.
The Board disclosed this in a statement shared on its official Facebook page, urging applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise to regularly check their email for official invitations to the CBT.
According to the Board, the test is a key stage in the scholarship selection process and will provide eligible candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and aptitude.
The Board said the date, venue and other requirements for the examination will be communicated directly to eligible applicants through their invitation emails.
Applicants who attended the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise across Lagos State’s five divisions are advised to take note of the following:
- Check your email regularly: Applicants should watch out for official CBT invitation emails.
- Read all instructions carefully: Candidates are expected to understand the examination guidelines before commencing the test.
- Arrive early: Applicants should report to their designated venues ahead of time to avoid delays.
- Dress appropriately: Candidates are expected to dress properly and maintain orderly conduct.
- Follow officials’ instructions: All candidates must comply with directives from CBT officials before and during the examination.
- Avoid prohibited materials: Electronic devices and other unauthorised materials will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
- No examination malpractice: Candidates caught cheating or impersonating others risk disqualification and possible referral to security authorities.
Beware of Fraudsters
The Board also warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters who may demand money or personal information in exchange for assistance with the scholarship process.
It stressed that no individual or agent has been authorised to collect payment for participation in the CBT or to influence the award of scholarships.
Applicants are therefore advised to rely only on information released through the Lagos State Scholarship Board’s official communication channels and avoid anyone promising to secure the scholarship for a fee.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to promoting access to quality education and supporting deserving students across Lagos State.
