Lagos will host the 2026 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards on December 7, bringing together some of Africa’s leading footballers, officials and stakeholders.
Nigeria will also host the CAF Ordinary General Assembly on November 21 as part of the country’s hosting of the two major continental football events. CAF has confirmed Nigeria as the host and is currently making preparations for the ceremonies.
The CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos, formerly known as the National Art Theatre, while Eko Hotel & Suites is expected to provide hospitality for guests.
The annual awards recognise outstanding footballers and other stakeholders who have contributed to the development of African football.
Nigeria last hosted the CAF Awards in 2017, when Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez won the Men’s Player of the Year award, while Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala claimed the women’s prize.
