The Lagos State Office of Local Government Establishments and Training has announced the commencement of the 2026 Capacity Building Workshop for officers in the Unified Local Government Service.
The Permanent Secretary, Ms. Toyin Ogunlana, said the training programme will run from Monday, August 3, to Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Training School of the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training.
According to her, the workshop is designed for officers in the senior and management cadres of the Unified Local Government Service, with the objective of enhancing their professional competence and leadership capabilities.
Ogunlana noted that the initiative will strengthen participants’ professional knowledge, technical expertise, managerial skills and leadership capacity, enabling them to deliver more efficient, innovative and responsive public service at the local government level.
She added that the programme reflects the Lagos State Government’s commitment to continuous capacity development, improved service delivery and the promotion of excellence across the Unified Local Government Service.
The workshop is expected to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to address emerging governance challenges while improving productivity and service delivery in local government administration.
