The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, formally installing him as His Royal Majesty, Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area.
The presentation took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, and was carried out by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa.
The ceremony was conducted with the approval of Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the State Executive Council, following the passing of the former Onise of Ise Kingdom, Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Agbaje urged the new monarch to make peace, unity and inclusive development central to his reign.
He also emphasised the important role of traditional institutions in promoting harmony, stability and sustainable grassroots development across Lagos State.
