The General Manager of the Lagos State Informal Space Management Authority (LASISMA), TPL Daisi Oso, featured on The Conversation on Lagos Television, where he explained the agency’s mandate and the importance of regulating informal urban spaces.
He highlighted efforts to protect walkways, roadsides, setbacks and high-tension corridors, while revealing that about 3,700 hectares across 1,700 locations have so far been identified and mapped for proper management.
TPL Oso stressed that the regulation is aimed at promoting public safety, orderliness and sustainable urban development, rather than hindering legitimate businesses.
