The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has raised concerns over the circulation of old videos and images of waste in parts of Mushin as though they represent the current situation.
LAWMA Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said the area is currently clean following three weeks of sustained intervention, including direct waste collection from inner streets and increased engagement with market and community leaders.
The Authority acknowledged previous service delays but said the situation has improved significantly, urging residents to avoid dumping waste on road medians and other unauthorised locations.
LAWMA also advised residents experiencing collection delays to contact their Community Development Associations or community leaders for assistance and interim direct collection.
