The Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board (LSFVCB) has expressed deep sadness over the tragic security incident at a cinema facility in Lekki, Lagos State.
The Board extended its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the security officer who lost his life in the incident, while also wishing the injured person a speedy and full recovery.
As relevant security agencies continue their investigations, the LSFVCB urged members of the public to remain calm and avoid speculation or the circulation of unverified information.
The Board stressed that the safety and well-being of cinema patrons, employees and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry remain a top priority.
It also called on cinema operators and other stakeholders to continually review and strengthen their security and emergency-response measures in collaboration with relevant security agencies.
The LSFVCB said its thoughts and prayers remain with everyone affected by the unfortunate incident.
