The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBN) have strengthened their partnership following a high-level courtesy and familiarisation visit by LWC officials to the company’s office in Ijora, Lagos.
Led by the Managing Director of LWC, Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani, the visit was aimed at deepening institutional relationships, improving mutual understanding and creating opportunities for future collaboration.
The discussions focused on closer coordination in road construction, water pipeline protection, water infrastructure development, sustainable water supply and integrated infrastructure planning, particularly across Lagos Island and its environs.
A key issue raised was the need for early communication and technical coordination between road and water infrastructure stakeholders to prevent project conflicts, minimise disruptions and ensure the delivery of durable infrastructure.
The Julius Berger delegation, led by Mr. Alexander Bauer, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable engineering solutions and stressed the importance of early stakeholder engagement before construction works begin.
Both organisations also agreed on the need for coordinated engagement with the Lagos State Government to secure necessary approvals and facilitate access to relevant project drawings and technical information.
