The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has approved five airlines to provide airlift services for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The approved carriers are:
- Air Peace Limited
- Flynas
- Max Air Limited
- Saudi Air
- UMZA Aviation Services Limited
According to NAHCON, the airlines were selected following a rigorous screening and evaluation process by the Aviation Screening Committee, based on safety standards, operational capacity and financial requirements.
The approval is subject to the execution of airlift agreements with NAHCON and compliance with the requirements of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
Passenger allocations and flight schedules will be determined in collaboration with State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and the approved operators.
NAHCON also stated that all carriers must comply with Hajj 2027 regulations, including the issuance of tickets linked to pilgrims’ Nusuk-Masar data, strict safety standards and the approved baggage allowance of one 32kg bag and one 8kg hand luggage.
The Commission urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the approved airlines to ensure a safe, seamless and comfortable airlift operation for Nigerian pilgrims.
