The National Assembly has pledged continued legislative support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda, particularly initiatives focused on the economy, security and national development.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio made the commitment after leading a delegation of lawmakers to President Tinubu’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
Akpabio said the legislature would continue to consider laws and reforms aimed at supporting the administration’s policies, including changes to existing legislation and the ongoing overhaul of Nigeria’s tax framework.
He also called on Nigerians to promote unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening national development.
