The race for Nigeria’s most prestigious healthcare honours has officially begun as the organizers of the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) opened online voting for the 2026 edition.
The annual awards recognize outstanding healthcare Institutions, Professionals, Pharmaceutical Companies, Diagnostics Providers, Health Insurers, and Media Organizations making significant contributions to healthcare delivery across the Country.
This year’s edition brings a major milestone for the broadcast industry, as Lagos Television (LTV) has been officially shortlisted in the Media Excellence category. The nomination recognizes the station’s sustained dedication to public health advocacy, high-impact medical reporting, and grassroots health education.
This year’s nominees emerged after an extensive screening exercise conducted by the NHEA jury. Alongside LTV, leading healthcare brands—including the African Medical Centre of Excellence, Duchess International Hospital, Evercare Hospital, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), AXA Mansard Health, and Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries made the highly competitive shortlist across various categories.
Speaking on the significance of the 2026 edition, Moses Braimah, Director of Marketing, Communication, and Strategy for NHEA, noted that the selections reflect the rapid advancement and competitiveness within Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem.
Braimah who said the quality of entries received this year demonstrates remarkable progress explained that he nominees represent institutions and professionals driving transformation, expanding access to quality care, and setting new benchmarks for service delivery
To guarantee transparency, credibility, and integrity, Braimah disclosed that the awards process includes independent verification and on-site assessment procedures in selected categories.
The Executive Secretary of NHEA, Vivian Alikali called on the public, patients, and sectoral stakeholders to actively participate in deciding the winners as Public engagement remains a vital component of NHEA as it provides an opportunity to recognize institutions and professionals making a meaningful impact within our communities.
The awards cover critical areas including healthcare delivery, oncology, diagnostics, IVF services, health insurance, biomedical technology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and media excellence.

Online voting officially commenced on May 20 and will strictly close on June 19, 2026, while Winners would be unveiled at the Grand Finale during a gala and awards ceremony scheduled for June 26, 2026, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award is organized by Global Health Project and Resources in collaboration with Anadach Group (USA) and other key stakeholders committed to strengthening healthcare quality in Nigeria.
