The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced provisional locations, venues and dates for a special passport intervention exercise in the United Kingdom.
The exercise follows the earlier deployment of a Passport Intervention Team from the NIS Headquarters in Abuja, directed by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to address passport-related challenges faced by Nigerians living in the UK.
According to the Service, the arrangements were made after consultations with the High Commission of Nigeria in the UK and representatives of Nigerian communities across the country. The intervention is expected to provide affected Nigerians with access to passport-related services and help resolve outstanding issues.
The NIS urged Nigerians in the UK who require the intervention services to take note of the designated locations, venues and dates, and to make the necessary arrangements to participate in the exercise. Further details on the specific venues and schedule are available through the Service’s official announcement.
