The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the immediate termination of its partnership with Online Integrated Solutions (OIS Services), the company previously responsible for collecting and submitting Nigerian visa applications in the United States.
In a public notice issued on July 9, 2026, the Service directed all prospective travelers and Nigerians in the U.S. seeking visas to submit their applications directly to the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, D.C., or the Nigerian Consulates in New York and Atlanta until further notice.
The NIS assured applicants that the Nigerian Embassy and its Consulates have put adequate measures in place to ensure the smooth submission, processing, and issuance of visas during the transition.
The Service also urged applicants to monitor its official communication channels, as well as those of the Nigerian Mission in the United States, for updates on visa application procedures and any subsequent directives.
The notice, signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, reaffirmed the Nigeria Immigration Service’s commitment to efficient and effective service delivery while expressing appreciation to applicants for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the transition.
