The 2026 Nigeria Premier Basketball League (NPBL) Final Four has been rescheduled to September 20–22 in Port Harcourt following a venue clash, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced.
The season-ending tournament was postponed after an official State Government event was scheduled to take place at the Basketball Stadium on Niger Street, Old Port Harcourt Township, during the original dates.
Four teams — Rivers Hoopers, Maktown Flyers, Gboko City Chiefs and Aso Sky Hawks — will battle in a three-day round-robin tournament for the national title.
The eventual champion will also earn Nigeria’s sole qualification ticket for the 2027 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
Rivers Hoopers finished top of the playoff standings with a 6–1 record, ahead of Maktown Flyers on points difference, while Gboko City Chiefs and Aso Sky Hawks secured third and fourth positions respectively.
The teams are expected to arrive for technical meetings on September 19, with matches running from September 20 to 22. Departure is scheduled for September 23.
