Oriade Local Council Development Area today held a public hearing on proposed bye-laws as part of efforts to promote inclusive governance and ensure that relevant laws and regulations reflect the needs of residents.
The public hearing, held at the Oriade LCDA Secretariat, provided an opportunity for stakeholders, community representatives, residents, and other relevant parties to make their contributions and express their views on the proposed bye-laws.
The engagement is expected to strengthen the legislative process at the local government level by allowing stakeholders to participate in the consideration of laws that will guide activities and promote orderly development within the council area.
The council reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective stakeholder engagement, noting that the contributions from the public will help in shaping bye-laws that are responsive to the needs and interests of residents.
