The 2026/27 Turkish Super Lig season is set for an exciting Golden Boot battle, with Nigerian stars Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu facing strong competition from some of Europe’s biggest names.
Osimhen, who claimed the 2024/25 Golden Boot with 26 league goals, remains one of the favourites after another impressive campaign with Galatasaray. Despite injury setbacks last season, he scored 22 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions.
Onuachu, meanwhile, shared last season’s Golden Boot with Eldor Shomurodov after scoring 22 league goals. The Trabzonspor striker will be hoping to retain the award, although the arrival of Mohamed Salah could add another dimension to the club’s attack.
Salah joins Trabzonspor after nine seasons at Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals and registered 123 assists in 442 appearances across all competitions. His goalscoring pedigree makes him an immediate contender for the Golden Boot.
Another major challenger is Romelu Lukaku, who is set to join Fenerbahce from Napoli. The Belgian striker will be looking to rediscover his best form and make a strong impact in Turkey.
With Osimhen, Onuachu, Salah and Lukaku all in the league, the race for the 2026/27 Super Lig Golden Boot could be one of the most competitive in years.
