The Osun State Government has disbursed another round of palliative payments to civil servants as part of efforts to ease the impact of current economic challenges and improve workers’ welfare.
In a statement issued by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the government said the intervention underscores its commitment to supporting public servants. He noted that the administration began periodic palliative payments even before implementing the new minimum wage, positioning Osun among the first states to adopt the initiative.
The government added that the continued payment of palliatives is aimed at boosting staff morale, restoring confidence in the public service and enhancing service delivery across the state.
