Oyebanji, Deputy Receive Certificates of Return from INEC

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and his deputy, Monisade Afuye, have received their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following their victory in the June 20 governorship election.

The certificates were presented by Sam Olumekun at a ceremony held at the INEC State Office in Ado-Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji secured victory in the election with 319,224 votes, becoming the first governor in Ekiti State’s history to win two consecutive electoral mandates.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Oyebanji expressed gratitude to the people of Ekiti State for renewing his mandate, describing the outcome as a strong vote of confidence in his administration.

The governor said his second term would focus on consolidating existing achievements, improving citizens’ welfare, driving economic growth, and expanding infrastructure development across the state.

He also commended INEC, security agencies, and electoral officials for their professionalism in conducting what he described as a peaceful, free, and credible election.

Oyebanji further praised the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful conduct throughout the electoral process and called on other contestants to join hands with his administration in advancing the state’s development.
