Popular Nigerian dancer Iweh Odinaka, known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been remanded in a United Kingdom prison over an alleged assault offence.
According to Benjamin Kuti, founder of the Community of Nigerians in the UK, Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. for a plea hearing.
Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby, said he became aware of the case through his regular attendance at court proceedings and his support for Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK.
He confirmed that Poco Lee is currently on remand and stressed that the legal process should be allowed to take its course, noting that the dancer remains innocent unless proven guilty by a court.
Reports of Poco Lee’s arrest in the UK surfaced online on August 19 over an alleged rape offence. However, the identity of the alleged victim and other details surrounding the case have not been independently verified.
