The Zamfara State Police Command says it has rendered safe a section of the Kaura Namoda–Moriki Road following the explosion of a suspected landmine planted by armed bandits.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, after a vehicle reportedly drove over one of the suspected improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted along the road.
The police said no life was lost and no one was injured in the explosion.
