The Nigeria Police Force has recorded a series of operational successes across several states, including the neutralisation of six suspected terrorists in Anambra State, the arrest of three suspected terrorist collaborators in Imo State and the rescue of three kidnapped victims in Kaduna State.
In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, ANIPR, the police said the operations were conducted between August 21 and 23, 2026.
In Anambra State, a joint task force carried out a counter-terrorism clearance operation at an identified terrorist camp in a dense forest in Amiyi, Ogbaru Local Government Area, on August 22.
According to the police, operatives engaged the suspected terrorists in a gun duel, during which six were neutralised, while others fled into the surrounding bush.
The Force said the operations form part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal and terrorist networks and strengthen security across the affected states.
