President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Nigeria’s front-line security personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other security threats across the country.
In a message of appreciation to members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, the President described security operatives as the shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to undermine the nation’s peace, safety, and stability.
Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced by troops operating in forests, along highways, in the air, on waterways, and in difficult terrains, noting that their efforts enable millions of Nigerians to live, work, worship, and pursue their livelihoods in relative safety.
The President praised the resilience and courage of military personnel despite the hardships associated with security operations, stressing that their service and sacrifices remain valued by the nation.
He also extended appreciation to officers and personnel of the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), intelligence agencies, local security formations, and other stakeholders contributing to national security.
Tinubu paid tribute to fallen heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty, stating that their sacrifices continue to live on through the communities and citizens they helped protect.
The President further urged Nigerians to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could assist ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and criminality.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, Tinubu declared that Nigeria would not surrender to fear or allow terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and violent extremists to define the country’s future.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to all front-line personnel and prayed for their safety as they continue to defend the nation.
