President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s top security officials to intensify efforts to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State and ensure they are swiftly brought to justice.
In a statement on Sunday, the President said he had instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to hunt down those behind the attack.
“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions,” Tinubu said, stressing that no individual or group involved would be spared.
The President warned that anyone found aiding, abetting, or enabling the attackers would also be held accountable, as the government moves to dismantle all support networks linked to terrorism.
He further directed security agencies to ensure the urgent rescue of all abducted victims and to intensify security operations around vulnerable communities, particularly those located near forests.
“These times demand our humanity. We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison,” the President said. “United, we can and must defeat them and deny them any sanctuary. We must reclaim peace for these attacked communities.”
President Tinubu also expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack, praying for the repose of the souls of the departed.
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he said.
The directive comes amid growing concerns over renewed terrorist attacks in parts of Niger State and calls for stronger security measures to protect rural communities.
