President Bola Tinubu has urged the Senate of Nigeria to confirm the nomination of Retired Adm. Jamila Abubakar as National Commissioner representing Adamawa State at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The request, contained in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has been referred to the Senate Committee on INEC, with a report expected within a week.
In a separate letter, Tinubu also requested confirmation of Amb. Ismail Yusuf as Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, referred to the Senate Committee on Rules and Business for legislative action.
