The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Blessing Agabe Karbolo, has been called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Agabe, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), was among the newly inducted lawyers during the Call to Bar ceremony held on Tuesday at the Body of Benchers Complex in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Speaking on the achievement, Agabe expressed gratitude and described the milestone as a remarkable moment in her career, attributing the success to God.
“What can I say? I’m overwhelmed,” she said, while quoting Romans 9:16 of the Bible to acknowledge the role of divine grace in her accomplishment.
The police spokesperson, who hails from Ogoni in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, joined the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2023 after completing a five-year programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
She later attended the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, where she obtained the Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification, and subsequently earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
Agabe was appointed Police Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command on April 10, 2026, following approval by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, on the recommendation of the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the command’s management team.
Her call to the Bar adds legal practice to her responsibilities as a police officer and communications officer, further strengthening her professional profile in law enforcement and public relations.
She has also undergone several specialised training programmes, including the Combat Operations and Counter-Terrorism Course at the Police Mobile Force Training School, Ende Hills, Nasarawa State, and the Citizenship and Leadership Training Course at Shere Hills, Jos, Plateau State.
