Simon, Akor Adams fire Nigeria to 2–1 win over Iran in friendly

The Nigeria national football team secured a 2–1 victory against Iran national football team in an international friendly, with goals from Moses Simon and Akor Adams.

Simon opened the scoring in the 7th minute, finishing off an assist from Samuel Chukwueze, while Adams doubled Nigeria’s lead early in the second half with a strike set up by Ademola Lookman.

Mehdi Taremi pulled one back for Iran in the 67th minute, but Nigeria held firm to seal the win.

The match forms part of preparations under coach Eric Chelle, as the team continues to build cohesion ahead of future competitions. The Super Eagles will next face Jordan in another friendly as they continue their rebuilding process.
