UEFA has officially cancelled the highly anticipated Finalissima between Euro 2024 champions Spain and World Cup winners Argentina. Negotiations over venue and dates broke down, with Argentina rejecting Madrid’s Bernabéu option, declining a two-legged format, and being unavailable on UEFA’s proposed dates.
This cancellation denies fans the chance to witness Lionel Messi face rising star Lamine Yamal in what would have been a generational showdown.
