Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems is set to perform alongside music icons Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bono and Bruce Springsteen at the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center on June 18.
The event, organised by the Obama Foundation, will celebrate democracy, culture, service, and hope, bringing together global leaders, changemakers, and renowned entertainers from around the world.
Tems remains the only Nigerian artiste on the star-studded lineup, further cementing her growing global influence and recognition in the international music industry.
Other performers expected at the ceremony include The Roots, Christina Aguilera, Common, Eddie Vedder, Jennifer Hudson, Marc Anthony and Marsai Martin.
The ceremony will be livestreamed globally from the Center’s John Lewis Plaza, while the facility officially opens to the public on June 19, with celebrations continuing throughout the Juneteenth weekend.
