A 14-year-old boy allegedly went on a shooting rampage at a high school in Thailand, killing five teachers in the country’s deadliest school shooting in recent years, according to authorities.
Police said the teenage suspect allegedly killed his grandmother and grandfather at their home before going to the school, where the attack occurred.
Thailand’s Prime Minister later revised the initial death toll, confirming that five teachers were killed in the school attack and that no students were among the fatalities.
The incident has renewed concerns over gun violence and school safety in Thailand, with authorities expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and how the suspect obtained access to a firearm.
