Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Rwanda ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 scheduled to begin on Thursday in Kigali.
The Nigerian President was received at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport by top officials, including Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, alongside other dignitaries.
President Tinubu later met with Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Village, where both leaders held bilateral discussions focused on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and Rwanda.
Founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum is widely regarded as Africa’s largest annual gathering of business leaders, investors, policymakers and heads of state.
This year’s edition, themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” will focus on regional integration, economic transformation and expanding cross-border investment opportunities across the continent.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a keynote address titled “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” highlighting the progress and impact of his administration’s economic reforms.
The President is also expected to engage with African and global investors to position Nigeria as a prime investment destination while reinforcing the country’s commitment to regional cooperation and private sector-led development.
The two-day summit, holding from May 14 to 15 at the Kigali Convention Centre, is projected to host over 2,000 business executives, investors, policymakers and African leaders.
