Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday received former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which took place around 4 p.m., was part of ongoing engagements between both leaders on regional political developments and West African diplomatic affairs.
The encounter was confirmed through images shared by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who noted that the two leaders held discussions in a relaxed atmosphere at the Villa.
Although details of their conversation were not disclosed, the meeting continues a pattern of consultations between Tinubu and Jonathan, who last visited the Villa in November 2025.
Jonathan, who has remained active in election observation and mediation roles across West Africa, was recently involved in diplomatic engagement following political tensions in Guinea-Bissau.
His visit underscores his continued role as a key regional statesman and mediator in democratic and electoral processes across the sub-region.
