Nigeria’s sprint hurdler, Tobi Amusan, delivered a commanding performance at the Diamond League meet in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday, claiming victory in the women’s 100 metres hurdles with a season-best time of 12.24 seconds.
The 28-year-old’s performance shattered the previous meeting record of 12.51 seconds set by American hurdler Brianna McNeal, marking a significant milestone in Amusan’s 2025 season.
Her triumph in Rabat is her first major win of the year, following fourth-place finishes at the Xiamen and Shanghai Diamond League meets earlier in May.
Amusan, the 2022 world champion and world record holder, has once again demonstrated her world-class caliber on the track, sending a strong message to her competitors ahead of the rest of the season.
This latest victory adds to her growing legacy as one of Nigeria’s most decorated athletes and a dominant force in global athletics.
