Two of the four outbound lanes at the Kara Bridge exit towards the OPIC turning have been completed as part of the ongoing expansion works aimed at improving traffic flow along the busy corridor.
The development means two of the four Lagos-bound lanes have now been completed, with the newly laid concrete expected to dry and harden before construction proceeds on the remaining two lanes.
As work advances to the next phase, traffic will be diverted onto the two newly completed lanes on the left-hand side of the bridge, designated as the fast lanes.
Construction will then commence on the two lanes currently being used by motorists on the right-hand side, which are designated as the slow lanes. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow traffic management instructions around the construction area.
