VP Shettima Presides Over National Economic Council Meeting in Abuja

Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently presiding over the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting held at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, with governors and deputy governors from across Nigeria in attendance.

The high-level meeting brought together key state executives to deliberate on national economic priorities and policy coordination between the federal and state governments.

Among those present are the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, alongside Governors Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, who made a notable appearance at the meeting.

The NEC session is expected to focus on key economic issues affecting the federation, including fiscal coordination, development planning, and strategies to strengthen economic stability across states.
