Ex-Arsenal star Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing before a London court on multiple rape and sexual assault charges.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian faces five counts of rape involving two women, and one count of sexual assault against a third woman — all allegedly occurring between 2021 and 2022 during his time with the Gunners.

Partey, whose contract with Arsenal expired in June, appeared in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. He showed no emotion in court and wasn’t required to enter a plea.

His lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, stated that Partey denies all charges and is ready to clear his name.

As part of his bail, he’s prohibited from contacting the alleged victims and must report any permanent address changes or international travel.

He’s next scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on September 2. Reports suggest a possible move to Villarreal in Spain.
