The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested the founder and General Overseer of The Turn of Mercy Church in Lagos, Adefolusho Aanu Olasele, also known as Abbas Ajakaiye, for allegedly masterminding multiple drug shipments from Ghana to Nigeria.
NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said in a statement on Sunday that Olasele, who had been on the run since June, was arrested on August 3, 2025, shortly after concluding a church service in the Okun Ajah area of Lekki.
The suspect reportedly fled to Ghana to evade arrest after being linked to two cannabis seizures—200kg on June 4 at Okun Ajah Beach and 700kg found in a delivery van on July 6.
