FG Inaugurates Health Sector Committee on Collective Bargaining

The Federal Government has inaugurated a Committee on Collective Bargaining for the Health Sector, marking the start of formal negotiations with key health sector unions.

Speaking during the inauguration on Saturday, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ali Pate, described the move as a major step toward establishing a fair and sustainable framework for healthcare workers.

“Health workers are central to our mission of delivering quality healthcare, and it is our duty to ensure that their needs are addressed with sincerity, transparency, and mutual respect,” he said.

The initiative aligns with Articles 1 and 2 of the Guidelines on Collective Bargaining Agreement Machinery.
