Man Nabbed With ₦25m Cash for Alleged Vote Buying in Kaduna Bye-Election

Security operatives in Kaduna State have arrested Shehu Patangi, a suspected political agent, with over ₦25 million allegedly meant for vote buying during the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency bye-election.

Police spokesperson DSP Mansir Hassan said Patangi was caught early Saturday at a hotel on Turunku Road, Kaduna, where he was allegedly coordinating the distribution of funds to sway voters.

A total of ₦25.96 million was recovered. The suspect reportedly confessed and pleaded for leniency during interrogation.
