INEC Declares Results of By-Elections Across Several States

KOGI STATE:
Prof. Emmanuel Eneche, Returning Officer for the Okura-II State Constituency by-election, declared Musa Hassan Yakubu of the APC winner with 55,073 votes.

KANO STATE:
Prof. Hassan Adamu Shittu announced Lawal Alhassan of the NNPP as the winner of the Bagwai/Shanono State Assembly by-election with 16,198 votes, defeating the APC candidate, who got 5,347 votes.

ANAMBRA STATE:

  1. Dr. Emmanuel Nwachukwu of APGA won the Anambra South Senatorial District bye-election with 9,640 votes.
  2. Mimi Azikiwe, also of APGA, emerged winner of the Onitsha North 1 Constituency bye-election with 7,774 votes.

ZAMFARA STATE:

  • The Kaura-Namoda South State Constituency by-election was declared inconclusive by Prof. Lawal Sa’ad.
  • Muktar Rabiu Garki of APC won the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency bye-election with 38,449 votes, defeating PDP’s candidate, who scored 13,519 votes. (Declared by Prof. Salihu Ibrahim Ismail)
  • Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the APC won the Gari/Tsanyawa supplementary election with 31,472 votes against 27,932 votes for the NNPP. (Announced by Prof. Muhammad Waziri)

OGUN STATE:
Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji of the APC won the Remo Federal Constituency by-election.

OYO STATE:
Folajimi Oyekunle of the PDP was declared winner of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election with 18,404 votes, while the APC candidate polled 8,312 votes.

NIGER STATE:
Mathew Dogara Daje of the APC won the Munya Constituency by-election with 12,733 votes, defeating PDP’s Sabo Sunday Adabyinlo, who polled 5,907 votes. (Announced by INEC REC, Ahmed Yusha’u Garki)
