Troops destroy bandit enclave in Katsina, rescue 76 abductees

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched a successful airstrike on Pauwa Hill, Kankara LGA, Katsina State — a notorious hideout of bandit kingpin Babaro — rescuing 76 abductees, including women and children.

According to a statement by the Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security, Nasir Mu’azu, the precision air operation was conducted between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. All victims kidnapped during the attack on Unguwar Mantau, Malumfashi LGA, were among those rescued.

Sadly, one child lost their life during the incident.
