The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Board has approved the promotion of 3,312 senior officers and appointed four new Deputy Comptroller-Generals (DCGs) and 12 Assistant Comptroller-Generals (ACGs).
This was announced by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, following the Board’s 63rd regular meeting held on September 2, 2025, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.
Maiwada noted that the promotions address vacancies created by recent retirements and reflect the Service’s commitment to merit, inclusivity, and adherence to the Federal Character Policy, as outlined in Section 14(4) of the NCS Act, 2023.
Newly appointed DCGs:
- AB Mohammed (North-West)
- GO Omale (North-Central)
- OC Orbih (South-South)
- D Nnadi (South-East)
Newly appointed ACGs:
- MP Binga (North-East)
- CA Awo, B Oramalugo (South-East)
- AB Shuaibu, TM Daniyan (North-Central)
- AT Abe, K Mohammed, B Mohammed (North-West)
- OP Olaniyan, B Olomu, IK Oladeji (South-West)
- CC Dim (South-East)
Additionally, 202 junior officers were promoted by the NCS Management from Assistant Inspector (AIC) to Customs Assistant I (CA1) during its 6th Management Meeting held on August 29, 2025.
