The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has applauded the commendable conduct of one of its officers, Muibi Ademola (Bravo 27), for displaying exceptional integrity, discipline, and professionalism by declining a ₦20,000 cash offer from a motorist at the Ago–Ibiwoye area of Okota, Lagos.
According to a report in The Nation newspaper (Wednesday, October 22, 2025, page 23), the motorist had drawn Officer Ademola’s attention to growing traffic congestion in the Ago–Ibiwoye corridor. Demonstrating promptness and dedication, the officer swiftly responded and successfully restored traffic flow within minutes.
Impressed by the officer’s quick intervention, the motorist offered him a cash token of ₦20,000 in appreciation. However, in a display of strong ethical standards, Officer Ademola courteously rejected the offer, stating he was simply fulfilling his duty and is adequately compensated by the Lagos State Government.

The GM reaffirmed LASTMA’s commitment to rewarding outstanding behavior and promoting a culture of integrity that reflects positively on the Lagos State Government.
Furthermore, he underscored the agency’s ongoing efforts in training, ethical reorientation, and capacity development to enhance professionalism, discipline, and operational efficiency across its ranks.
