President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on his 58th birthday, commending his record of impactful public service and results-driven leadership.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Wike as a bold and outstanding performer whose career reflects courage, purpose, and dedication to national development.
The President praised Wike’s role in accelerating the transformation of the FCT, particularly through his ambitious infrastructure renewal drive. He also highlighted the minister’s recent success in resolving a 14-year impasse over the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road.
Tinubu applauded Wike’s resilience, “can-do attitude,” and commitment to excellence, noting his consistency in delivering meaningful projects and reforms.
“Nyesom Wike is one of the bright stars of this administration—an exceptional performer who is developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory in unprecedented ways and proving that his ‘Mr. Project’ reputation extends beyond Rivers State,” the President said.
He further acknowledged Wike’s support for the Renewed Hope Agenda despite belonging to a different political party, and wished him continued strength and fulfillment.
President Tinubu concluded by wishing the FCT Minister good health, renewed energy, and even greater achievements in his service to the nation.
