The Lagos State Government has officially approved the hosting of the 2025 Lagos State Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons Service, themed “The Reign of The Messiah” (Isaiah 9:6), in celebration of the yuletide season.
In a letter dated 3rd December 2025 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Adewunmi Ogunsanya, the General Manager of Lagos State Television (LTV) was informed of the Governor’s approval for the annual event.
The service is scheduled as follows:
Date: Thursday, 18th December 2025
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Venue: Lagos House, Ikeja, Lagos Television has been directed to provide live media coverage of the event.
The annual Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons remains one of the highlights of the state’s yuletide calendar, bringing together government officials, religious leaders, residents, and choirs to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ through scripture readings, carols, and prayers.
