Akin Olowokere, newly appointed assistant coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, tragically passed away on Monday morning after collapsing during a training session.
Eyewitnesses reported that Olowokere slumped on the pitch and was immediately attended to by medical personnel before being rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he was later confirmed dead. As of the time of reporting, the exact cause of his death remains unknown.
Olowokere, a former player and coach of Sunshine Stars of Akure, had recently joined the Oluyole Warriors following the departure of the Gbenga Ogunbote-led coaching team
